I spent the weekend in Boston to meet my friend Will who was in Boston for a few hours. On Friday afternoon, he told me he'd be flying into Boston the next day, and we met at his hotel. We walked to Faneuil Hall, had Middle Easter food in Quincy Market, and then walked to Beacon Hill. From there, we walked even more west, sort of got lost, and found ourselves in Boston Common. We went back to the hotel early and got up early the next day to go to Cambridge. We left the hotel at 7.30, walked to a 7-11 where I bought a Double Gulp, then took the T to Harvard Square. I couldn't finish the Double Gulp. I had about 3/4 and then, when Will wouldn't finish it, we tossed it.
In Cambridge, we walked around, took a few pictures, and then stopped for coffee at Peet's, a coffee shop chain I'd never heard of, which I loved. We sat at the bar, I got the Sunday Globe and we read the paper. We took the T back to Boston, went to a couple stores, and then headed towards South Station. I missed my bus by a couple minutes, and had to wait almost three hours for the next one. I read a book I'd bought at the Harvard Coop and walked to Chinatown to get a 'snow ball', one of those Chinese glutinous rice balls that I love so much. I slept a bit on the bus and got back to ManchVegas before 5pm.
I've been on the internet team for a week now. Things are going well, I'm learning a lot of new things. I'm making contribution pages, sending out email blasts and emailing people who sign up on the website.
Tomorrow, I'm going on a tracking mission. We're leaving at 7am, and will be back about 12 hours later. It's going to be a long day of taking pictures and filming.
