Recently (IV)

Uncooked & unfrosted praline & Nutella cupcakes,
made with my friend and temporary roommate Camille.  

They were a hit with my friends, and remained unfrosted

so I guess you can call them cupcake-wannabe muffins. 

I've always hated vertical shots, but decided

to give it a try to see if I'd change my mind. 

Mind almost changed. 

My one eyed cat friend came back a couple of times, 
and I noticed that she's as scared of Oscar 
as Oscar is of her. I want them to be friends. 

Non invisible cat. 

Cats have the cutest paws. How can you resist that 
paw? I want to touch it. 

Oscar has mastered the sad puppy dog eyes look. 
He knows it works too. 

Recently (III)

Monday morning: croissants are a wonderful(ly buttery) way to start the week, and they taste fantastic with a cup of Earl Grey tea. 

Tuesday: pasta, arugula & green pea salad with mozzarella and an olive oil, lemon juice and basil dressing.  

Also Tuesday: wilted flowers. I'm really bad with flowers, but I'm sure Rhiannon knows! 

Friday: learning to use the back button focusing function, using dandelions. 

Also Friday: made a facial scrub using ground rolled oats, yogurt and honey. 

Not pictured: a Saturday afternoon spent in the kitchen making an eggplant and bell pepper tart, as well as a mini mascarpone & cherry tomato tart that was seriously delicious, and a great dinner with friends with chocolate mousse and tiramisu for dessert. 

Recently (II)

I haven't taken a lot of photos lately. I haven't seen many things that made me want to remember them, so this is a less diverse Recently post than the previous post. 

Last Saturday: Tazo Zen tea in my favorite mug of all times. 

Today: capturing my backyard's awakening. 

PS: I recently reconnected with my green-hating self. Not my environment-hating self, but my green-in-photos hating. I'm never pleased with the shades I get, so I tend to go for the desaturation tool. It's an addiction. I can't resist it.

Today: dark chocolate chip cookies that weren't meant to be dark.
